Mark Amy is a native English speaker born in Jersey in the United Kingdom. After a long career in the finance industry he switched careers to concentrate on languages and moved to China in 2004. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English language and literature and is T.E.F.L. qualified to teach English as a foreign language. He is also a professional photographer. In December 2007, he launched his personal photography website.
Fan Gao is a native Chinese speaker born in the Anhui province of China. He successfully founded and edited a bilingual poetry magazine with a well-known South African poet. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Zhejiang University. In March 2006, he co-founded Chinese Concept. Since the inception of Chinese Concept, he has translated over 2.5 million words with Mark Amy.
