Mark Amy is a native English speaker born in Jersey in the United Kingdom. After a long career in the finance industry he changed careers to concentrate on languages and moved to China in 2004. He is also a photographer. In December 2007, he launched his personal photography website.
Fan Gao is a native Chinese speaker born in the Anhui province of China. In December 2006, He successfully founded and edited a bilingual poetry magazine with a well-known South African poet. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Zhejiang University.

Each project is unique and several factors are involved:
- What is the subject matter? General or a highly technical document that contains specialist terminology?
- What is the format of your document? An easily editable source such as MS Word or a scanned, hand-written PDF document?
- How many words are involved? A short email to a friend or a novel?
- How quickly do you need the job done? Urgently or as soon as reasonably possible?

- We usually provide a quote calculated on the number of English words or Chinese characters that appear in the source (original) document. Quoting by this methods lets you know exactly how much the project will cost from the very beginning and this price will appear on your final invoice. The total price will only change if you later add or deduct content.
